JANA EDELBAUM

Ideal Partners was founded by Edelbaum in 2006. Current fiction projects include a feature film biopic about iconic choreographer Alvin Ailey to be directed by Barry Jenkins and distributed by Fox Searchlight; a drama series based on a New Yorker article produced with Blumhouse TV. Current documentary projects include Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage? streaming December 9 on Disney+, and The Librarians, a feature about book banning, directed by Kim Snyder. Previous projects include House of Z, Strange Weather, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, Dirty Girl, and many others. Ideal's films have been nominated for Independent Spirit awards as well as Humanitas Awards, and Edelbaum has won an Emmy Award.

Edelbaum lives in New York with her husband and three children. She is a graduate of Brown University and spent several years as an investment banker in London prior to moving into film. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, involved with Mt Sinai hospital, is an active member of the NY Women's collective, and is passionate about the medium of film as a social change agent. 

RACHEL COHEN

RACHEL COHEN is an independent film producer based in New York and, since 2007, head of production at Ideal Partners. Current fiction projects include a feature film biopic about iconic choreographer Alvin Ailey to be directed by Barry Jenkins and distributed by Fox Searchlight; a drama series based on a New Yorker article produced with Blumhouse TV. Current documentary projects include Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage? streaming December 9 on Disney+, and The Librarians, a feature about book banning, directed by Kim Snyder. Prior to iDeal, Rachel was SVP of Development and Production at Tribeca Productions, and before that she spent seven years at Artisan Entertainment as SVP Development and Acquisitions.

Janna Devinsky

Director, Development and Production at Ideal Partners. Previous experience include Random House Studio, a group within Penguin Random House/Fremantle dedicated to book-to-TV/Film Adaptations; agent assistant at WME; on-air planner at HBO. Graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration and Film Studies.
